Behaviour Management Policy…
It is my wish to encourage and promote positive behaviour in a positive manner. Establishing clear boundaries and routines at Brickle End does this. On entering, playing in the garden or leaving the premises, emphasis is placed on simple things such as a smile, praise or reward for behaving in a positive way. We aim to keep the children stimulated and happy.
My philosophy on behaviour is based on respect and understanding of each other, sharing and taking turns and helping one another. However, from time to time some children may require time out away from the situation to resolve the problem. The 1 2 3 rule will be applied.
Firstly talking to the child
Secondly reinforce the command and
Thirdly, if not sorted, the child will be given time out
Inappropriate behaviour is quickly dealt with, as it is unacceptable.
Positive reinforcement, discussion and some ‘time-out’ away from the situation often helps.
Children are always given lots of hugs and support when ‘time-out’ is finish.
